| Current Featured Columns | | Final Thoughts On The 2008 NBA Draft This year's draft was decidedly more calm and casual than the Oden/Durant showdown, which made for a more candid and personal experience. Grading The Deal: Knicks Sign DuhonThe Knicks overpaid for a below average starting point guard, but the move should still pay dividends.

Oh Danny Boy
Danny Granger, who has just three years of NBA experience under his belt, will undoubtedly be the man in Indiana beginning this summer.

$10 Million For Five Players?
The Orlando Magic will be limited by the NBA's Luxury Tax in terms of filling the remaining spots on their roster. It is also possible it could cost them Keyon Dooling or Maurice Evans.

Raptorland’s New Carnivore
The Raptors are bringing in a player who will have an immediate impact (unlike Hibbert or whomever the Raptors would’ve drafted at 17), plays a position of need (unlike Ford,) and carries a reputation of intimidation (unlike Nesterovic).

Life is bleak as a Celtic supporter at the present time. Dannt Ainge doesn't seem to be able to give Paul Pierce the quality help he needs to make Boston a success again. One of the saddest things is the fact that Ainge will now be banking on winning the Draft Lottery and landing Oden or Durant. Well so far the word out of Durant's camp is: "Texas star 'not even talking about' leaving school."
Oden is also "thinking" about staying in college, people seem to think it's all a gimmick though. I do too, so if Durant doesn't come out Oden is the consensus number 1, and the Celtics could well miss out on the top pick. Who do you draft then? Brandon Wright? I don't think he is a big impact rookie that the Celtics need.
I think the Celtics should draft Oden if he enters and they get number 1, in any other scenario they should trade the pick as Pierce has suggested. It's so sad to see one of the great swingmen from the current era surrounded with incompetent talent, that's not a dig at West, Green, Jefferson and Rondo, but when you have a starting lineup of: West, Pierce, Scalabrine, Powe and Jefferson (most recent game) you know you're in trouble.
Boston needs to rid themselves of Danny "Mr. incompetent" Ainge, and get someone in that can make smart decisions. This team could have had Brandon Roy or Randy Foye, but Ainge traded for Telfair, he should have been fired i nFebruary, I'd rather see Doc Rivers work out the year as coach and GM.
There should be some good talent going this offseason through the draft, free agency and through trades. If Danny doesn't drastically improve the roster he should be gone. Maybe this article should be called: "Fire Danny". Sorry for the rant, but it sickens me deeply to see the Celtics lose so many games, I'm glad Red hasn't had to witness this season.
